Rough cut (questioning someone else)

  Partner with someone who doesn't know anything about your video. Record their answers to the following questions: What is setting (time and place)? How can you tell t he setting is at a house -mom Who are the characters? How can you tell? the characters are ryan and 2 other people-mom What is the movie going to be about? How can you tell? about a haunted doll/bear To what extent is it readable as a film opening? it is readable by the couple slides shown. To what extent is it readable as a [insert genre] film? it shows and appears as a horror movie by the music/sound and how the film opening is structured. Overall, how might the clarity of meaning in the video be improved? it could be improved if more shots were added and more action.

  Overall, what are your ideas for how the above aspects of the video can be improved? Reshooting? Better editing? Sound? Rewriting parts of the script? What are your next concrete steps? Over all the film is good at the moment it has enough of everything and I don't think reshooting is optional because the film is good and has been revised many times.

  How much continuity does the video have? Are there any places where the continuity can be improved? How?  The video doesn't have much continuity because it's not finished we are 1/2 finished so were adding more continuity and more detail so it matches the script. The continuity in the end will be improved and the middle due it being unfinished and because it's an important part. We will add more details and more parts that are visual and gives attention to the viewers.  To what extent is the video readable as a film opening? Can you understand that it's an opening? Why or why not? What can you do to make it more readable?  The video is readable as a film opening because in a few shots in the video it tells the details then transitions to the video. To what extent is the video readable within your chosen genre? Can you tell it's a horror/thriller/comedy/coming-of-age etc.? How can this area be improved? You can tell it's a horror genre by the structure and the

  What technology will you need in order to begin shooting? My group and I don’t have any technology right now but we have a phone and a computer to edit the shots and were working on the technology for now to see what we come up with before shooting.
