What is your "brand" or "mission statement" for your film? The brand for my film is that friendships is extremely important, and that no one should take it lightly. I am striving towards showing people off my age and older that having a true friend stand by you will make your life better.  What are some production companies that specialize in films similar to yours?  Some production companies that specialize in films similar to mines are

How will you sell your film and make back everyone's money? I would want to advertise my film so many times and get it advertised for me to reach viewers. I would create online and real life posters so people can have an idea of what I have created and they can be interested to the film. One other idea I have is that I could also tell people/ message friends and family to ask other people to view my film.  What are you striving for?  I am striving for my film to become very popular and catch many viewers from my film. I also want to make many profit and also be very noticed and be very viewed by people. I want to be very proud for what I have worked hard for and to impress many people and catch many awards due to my films but overall I would want my family and friends to be happy with what I have created. It's my life long goal to create a very popular film and make it blow up making the film stream in movie theaters and other apps.

How will your choice of production company affect the way audiences engage with your film? My choice of production company will affect the way audiences engages with my film by giving them a easier way to access. If the film is placed on YouTube I will most likely receive more views and also tons of subscriptions because it is visible to anyone that uses the app YouTube. Theoretically if my film was in theaters then it would only be visible to certain amounts of people and not everyone. Only to the people who spend their money to view the movie. So not as many people would watch the movie in the movie theater as YouTube.  What are some films that are similar to yours (genre, budget, audience, etc.)? some films that are similar to mines are "(2019) Out post" and "Lost shift (2014)", "Paranormal Activity (2007)" they have the same genre and have low budget like my movie but the only difference is that it's not the same story as mines. Horror films are

Do you plan to produce with a large studio or a smaller, independent production company? Why? I plan to produce with a smaller independent production company because we do not have much funding. We are not following the same formula as other studio films. With our film we are going to be distinguished by our content and the style we use. We are also in a low budget for the film that's why we can't have a large studio to start off with.  What are you trying to achieve with your story? What I want to achieve in my story is on creating a feeling of fear. For-example I want my viewers to develop a feeling of terror while watching the film. So we're developing an atmosphere of horror. Most viewers watch horror films just for the scary scene but not the full story and the purpose of the film. So my film is going to contain both scary and entertaining so the audience can be equally scared and finds the film enjoyable.  How will your film be exhibited? Consider theatrical and nonth

Emerson's Question's 1/13

What is the difference between opening credit and a title sequence?  The difference between opening credit and a title sequence is opening credits is a list of names of the cast and crew, producers, studios etc. At the beginning or end of a movie or a show. A title sequence is a important scene that normally takes place before the actual movie, game or a show beginning. It includes a title card that is a graphic and that is indicating the title of the movie.  What are the settings or locations of other films in my genre? Where and when are they often shot? Settings of horror films are always including cabins, forests, cementeries, abandoned buildings/places, and woods. They're often shot in the middle of a scene. I would do a abandoned place, because most of the time it's usually haunted and it also creates a sense of a mystery, giving you an idea that the film is going to contain scary things. Knowing the fact that it takes place in a abandoned building it would have to do wi

Emerson's Question's answered 1/10

1. What kind of movie am I trying to make?  I am planning to make a horror/sci-fi movie opening. On the research I have conducted horror/sci-fi movies contains dark lighting, smokey areas, and some contains dark red lighting to make it scary. Horror movies are my favorite so I think it's the best movie me and my group should create. I've watched many horror movies so I have an idea on how it's going to be beneficial for this project.  7. How are different social groups are normally represented/portrayed, stereotyped, etc. in your genre? The different social groups are normally being stereotyped with a killer/murderer. An example are when people are being tortured, hold in hostage, or even killed. A good stereotypical horror/sci-fi movie would be groups of friends stranded in a forest not knowing where to head. They get stranded and have no electronics with them, they'll find a cabin somewhere in their trail finding out someone lives there. I've seen horror movies th

Emerson research blog #1

hello I am Emerson Bonilla !!! Conducting research is important right now, because I can search the information I need help with and with what I am working with. I've been reviewing other bloggers blogs and I'm truly inspired by their writings and their blogs. I have visited many kinds of websites and blogs. With reading many different types of blogs it inspires me so much that I have a lot of ideas in my head to write about and it shows me how to write a blog by seeing their examples. From the blogs I've been reading for example fashion blogs, food blogs, etc. it has given me motivation to write my own. At first, I wasn't motivated to write my own blogs and I wasn't sure what to do writing one. So I began researching and reading other people's blog and it motivated me to write my own so here I am. I'm not good at writing blogs because my thoughts are everywhere and while I'm writing one I'll be distracted easily. The and more research I conduct I be
